Rotary eClub of Pago Bay Guam: Service Above Self

We channel our commitment to service at home and abroad through five Avenues of Service, which are the foundation of club activity.
Club Service focuses on making clubs strong. A thriving club is anchored by strong relationships and an active membership development plan.
Vocational Service calls on every Rotarian to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society. Learn more in An Introduction to Vocational Service and the Code of Conduct.
Community Service encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest. Learn more in Communities in Action: A Guide to Effective Projects and this Community Service presentation (PPT).
International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad, and more.
Youth Service recognizes the importance of empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs such as Rotaract, Interact, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, and Rotary Youth Exchange.

A Message from Our President!

Hafa Adai and welcome to our Rotary eClub of Pago Bay Guam home page!
As we embark on Rotary Year 2024-2025, I am honored and excited to serve as the President of the Rotary eClub of Pago Bay Guam. This year, our theme is "The Magic of Rotary," a testament to the transformative power of our collective efforts to create lasting change in Guam and the world!
Rotary's vision statement, “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change—across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves,” encapsulates the essence of what we aim to achieve. The magic of Rotary lies in our ability to unite and harness our diverse strengths, talents, and resources to make a profound impact both locally and globally. In the coming year, we see countless opportunities to demonstrate service above self. From supporting our educators to addressing food security, there are many ways we can contribute to the well-being of our communities. Our virtual platform provides us with a unique advantage, allowing us to connect, collaborate, and take action in innovative ways.
Our club will focus on leveraging the five avenues of service to respond to the needs of our local and global communities. We will work together to enhance literacy, support sustainable community projects and foster local and international collaborations. We can make a meaningful difference and would love for you to join us! This year, we will also pursue several strategic goals to enhance our club's impact and reach. We aim to diversify our membership through global outreach, become leaders in webinars and e-learning, and partner with educational resources to further our vision. We will continue to innovate, evolve, and convey our “We care” message through our activities and programs.
In embracing this new role, I am inspired by the symbol of the latte stone, a significant cultural emblem of Guam. These ancient stone pillars, unique to the Marianas, stand as enduring symbols of strength, resilience, and the foundation of our island's rich heritage. Much like the latte stone, our Rotary club is built on a foundation of service, fellowship, and unwavering support for one another and our communities.
On behalf of our Board and eClub members, I invite you to join us in this magical journey. Rotary continues to enhance my life through new friendships and lasting community change. Together, we will create moments of magic that inspire, uplift, and transform lives. I look forward to an exciting year filled with educational content, fellowship opportunities, and impactful service projects.
Thank you for your interest in Rotary. Join us in making this year truly magical. As someone who resides off-island, it is especially meaningful to me to give back to Guam and is the beauty of being in an e-Club (virtual)!
Biba Rotary eClub of Pago Bay Guam!
Yours in Rotary,
Mary Kate Soliva
